Planet Idiot: A Survival Guide is a rollicking survey of stupidity
in the most unexpected corners of everyday life--totalitarian homeowners'
associations, pretentious name-droppers, families and coworkers. Lindsey
shows us how to survive in an idiotic world full of idiots while helping us
laugh at ourselves.

I've always wanted to help people.
For instance, I was a Girl Scout. Oh sure, I cut a few corners earning merit badges -- but that was only because I was so focused on something more important: helping people. You know, by going door-to-door selling cookies, often having their small, yappy dogs chase me down the driveway, for God's sake. But still. I helped people.
Now I want to help the world be a better place. I want to help people learn to laugh! I want to help people not take their pathetic, little problems so seriously! Look on the bright side! Lower your expectations! Make me famous! Start a fan club! Vote for me if I ever run for office! Testify on my behalf if I'm ever on trial.
And above all, keep in mind that the world is full of Idiots, and all their workings.
Let the healing begin.
